Additionally, there has been a rise in measles cases, with 1,828 confirmed cases across the U.S. as of Dec. 2, compared to 16 outbreaks last year. Dr. Juthani notes that measles was eliminated in the U.S. in the early 2000s, and the recent outbreaks indicate a concerning trend.
