Mark Allen, a veteran radio host, has joined WQGR, the North Madison, OH-based station of Music Express Broadcasting Corporation's Oldies station, Gold 93.7 (https://www.gold937fm.com/). Allen's addition to the station marks a significant milestone, as he brings a wealth of experience and a unique style to the airwaves.
Allen's career in radio spans over two decades, with a 23-year run at Media One Group's AC station, Mix 97.1, in Ashtabula, OH, until his departure in 2020. Prior to that, he worked at various stations, including WPHR Cleveland, WDCG Raleigh, WZOO and WFUN Ashtabula, WRBA Panama City, and WRIE and WLVU Erie. His extensive experience in the industry has made him a well-known and respected figure in the radio community.
Allen's arrival at WQGR comes with a complete reimagining of the station, including a new imaging voice, Jeff Laurence, and jingles from TM Studios. This transformation aims to enhance the station's appeal and provide listeners with a fresh and engaging experience.
