SUPERVIVE's journey is coming to an end, with live-service set to conclude in 2026. This marks a significant moment for Theorycraft Games and its MOBA battle royale title. Let's dive into the details.
Jessica Nam, the Executive Producer of SUPERVIVE, has announced that the game will be sunset on February 26th, 2026.
In a recent Fireside Chat, Nam explained that despite their efforts, the changes implemented haven't been effective enough in attracting new players. She also noted that while many have tried SUPERVIVE, most don't stick around. The game is described as both 'ambitious' and 'expensive' to maintain, making its continued support unsustainable for Theorycraft Games.
But here's where it gets controversial...The final planned patch, Patch 2.04, is scheduled to launch this week, bringing a new 'Prisma Party' game mode, character balance changes, and a free cosmetic bundle.
SUPERVIVE initially launched globally on July 24th, 2025, with version 1.0. During its early access phase on Steam, the game saw a peak of nearly 48,000 players. Upon its global release, there was another surge, reaching roughly 15,200 players. And this is the part most people miss...However, the player base has since dwindled, with recent peaks reaching as low as approximately 400 players. Furthermore, there were no console ports for PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S.
Previously known as Project Loki, SUPERVIVE is the debut title from Theorycraft Games, a free-to-play isometric MOBA with battle royale elements. Players could choose from a diverse roster of characters, battling in squads to be the last team standing.
SUPERVIVE even ventured into esports. Before its global launch, Theorycraft Games held the Creator Cup invitational from November 22nd to 24th, 2024, which featured top streamers and influencers. Data platform Esports Charts reports that the invitational reached a peak viewership of over 84,000. It also achieved over 480,000 total hours watched and an average viewership of over 55,000. Various events were held in 2025, including the Saturday Night SUPERVIVE competitions in Europe and North America. Despite these efforts, Theorycraft Games never established an official circuit for the MOBA battle royale.
